Leigh Rock – The Who tribute night – 22 Sept 2018

Next in a great series of rock tribute acts under the ‘Leigh Rock’ banner.

If Calsberg did tributes… Quadrophonia are an authentic live tribute to The Who.
Adrenalin fuelled rock ’n’ roll…Capturing a magical point in time when The Who were the greatest rock and roll band on earth.
Their set list contains a majority of the most popular material from The Who’s catalogue until the final days of Keith Moon.
Quadrophonia’s live show recreates this period in the early 1970′s with the aid of authentic stage wear and backline, powerfull stage performances together with stage theatrics and a full ‘WHO’ light and laser show results in a nostalgic rollercoaster ride back to the days of Live at Leeds and thro’ into the seventies.
Don’t miss them…

Leigh Rock – The Jam tribute night – 20 July 2018

The seventh in a great series of rock tribute acts under the ‘Leigh Rock’ banner.

More than just a “jeans and t-shirt” tribute band, ‘The Jam Project’ is a powerful reminder of the music from the best mod punk band of the 70’s and 80’s.

The Jam were one of Britain’s most successful and important bands that emerged from the punk and new wave era. They brought a sound and a look to an army of fans who, to this day, hold a devoted and unparalleled loyalty and passion. In their five-year career, between 1977 and 1982, The Jam had 18 top 40 singles, including four No.1 hits. In 1982, their last studio LP, The Gift, went to the top of the album chart and A Town Called Malice and Beat Surrender were No.1 singles.

‘The Jam Project’ is a celebration of the band at its best. Hit after hit, the band explode onto the stage suited and with the attention to detail of the early band, and blast out all your favourite raw energetic Jam songs.

Leigh Rock – Ian Dury and The Blockheads tribute night – 21 April 2018

The fourth in a great series of rock tribute acts under the ‘Leigh Rock’ banner.

Once upon a time there was a band called THE BLOX.

THE BLOX are five dedicated geezers who got together to recreate the music of Ian Dury and The Blockheads. Music which is comprised of elements of funk, jazz, blues, reggae, even vaudeville.

Formed in 1999 by bass player Tony Clark, they performed their first gig in September 2000, seveneen years ago! This was a totally memorable gig in…. erm…? During their seventeen years (so far) THE BLOX have enjoyed playing at numerous festivals, touring twice with top ska band Bad Manners, sharing the bill with Hawkwind, and leaving these shores for various gigs overseas, i.e. Guernsey! 🙂 We’ve played some prestigious venues around the country such as The Concorde 2 in Brighton and The Astoria, Charing Cross Road – demolished shortly after we left it!
